Holly also mentions that Atlanta has been very busy this past month as far as raising capital. Roadie, a home-grown startup that does peer-to-peer delivery, raised almost $40 million and continues to grow rapidly. Ionic Security also raised $40 million will investors like JP Morgan Chase. And Movius, a mobile software company, raised $45 million in another huge round of funding.
There is also a growing number of new entrepreneurial hubs and startup communities making their way to Atlanta. This includes Switchyards and The Lola. April will also see the AgLanta conference, an urban agriculture conference, you won’t want to miss it.
