Hypepotamus also covered a major acquisition of the 14-year-old, fraud detection and identity company IDology for a staggering $300 million. They will also continue operating out of their base in Atlanta.
This coming March, the Atlanta tech scene will put up a nice presentation at the SXSW conference in Autin, TX. Contingencies of Metro Atlanta Chamber business leaders and well as Atlanta-based startups will be in attendance, and representing the city on panels, and other demonstrations.
Other events located in Atlanta for March include Techstars Startup Weekend in Atlanta hosted by Atlanta Tech Village. This 54-hour event will have a hack-a-thon to come up with ideas for new products, business plans, and pitches. Anyone can register and purchase tickets for the event. Holly also recommends that we check out Atlanta Startup Village and the Consumer Show at Switchyards.
