Intuit has announced the QuickBooks Grant Program, that aims to award $10,000 to 20 small business owners. Apply by June 30, by 11:59pm

Intuit, the global financial technology platform behind Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, has announced the QuickBooks Grant Program. This initiative aims to award $10,000 to 20 small business owners and provide them with valuable business mentorship resources.

This program offers hope to small businesses, which are vital to the economy but often struggle with access to capital.

Emma Rodgers, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Revenue at Intuit QuickBooks, stated that assisting small businesses in thriving is crucial for our communities and our economy, but many entrepreneurs still face challenges in accessing capital.“ She added, “QuickBooks is focused on supporting all small businesses with the tools and resources they need to grow and succeed. With the launch of this new grant program, we look forward to delivering impactful funding that can help make business dreams a reality and power prosperity for the small business community.”

Small business owners in the U.S. can apply for the QuickBooks Grant Program from May 28 to June 30, 2024, at 11:59pm PT. Applicants must submit a brief essay describing how the grant award will help them overcome business challenges or achieve their business dreams. Full eligibility requirements and judging criteria are available on the application site.

In addition to the $10,000 grant, each of the 20 recipients will receive three months of mentorship resources. This is a unique opportunity for small business owners to gain invaluable insights and skills. The mentorship will cover using digital tools like QuickBooks and Mailchimp to gain business insights, streamline processes, and connect with customers, paving the way for their growth and success.

The Intuit QuickBooks Entrepreneurship underscores the need for such programs in the 2024 Report, which reveals that nearly a quarter of U.S. consumers plan to start a new business in 2024, and two-thirds view it as a better path to personal wealth compared to buying a house. Despite high rates of new business formation, small businesses face significant financial challenges, including tightened credit availability due to economic conditions like high interest rates and inflation.
