L’Oréal introduced its 2024 Inclusive Beauty Fund, offering financial support and resources to small beauty businesses nationwide.
Experts from L’Oréal and SalonCentric, the company’s distributor of professional supplies, will mentor and assist grantees with their business development.
This year, the initiative has expanded to include new non-governmental organizations like the Hispanic Federation and grant administrator GlobalGiving. It was developed it in collaboration with the U.S. civil rights organization, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), to award 40 one-time grants.
Businesses, including salons, spas, barbershops, and extension artists, are eligible to apply for funds. In addition, braiders, aestheticians, make-up artists, start-up founders, students, and stylists can apply as well.
The NAACP and Hispanic Federation will administer the application process, and each organization will award 20 one-time grants of $10,000 each.
According to Liliahn Majeed, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for L’Oréal Groupe in North America, the Inclusive Beauty Fund is one of the main pillars of L’Oréal’s larger dedication to promoting inclusivity in the beauty industry. Majeed states, “L’Oréal appreciates small businesses’ vital role in providing consumers from all walks of life with essential goods and services. We want to contribute in any way we can to help entrepreneurs and beauty businesses overcome financial obstacles.”
