According to a study done by American Express, between 1997 and 2017, the number of women-owned businesses increased by 114 percent, however, there are still hurdles that many female entrepreneurs face. Recently, we spoke to Kanchana Raman, president, and CEO of Avion Networks, former TiE Atlanta President, and member of the new TiE Atlanta Women’s Council initiative. She discussed the need for this council and how they provide tools and resources for Atlanta’s female business owners.
