When it comes to reaching and engaging potential consumers, video advertising pays. And having appropriately branded videos for your business is just as important as your company’s website, perhaps even more so. Here to tell us why small business owners can no longer afford to ignore video advertising is Michelle Amarra. Michelle is the president of Southern Crescent Broadcasting, SCBTV.
In this day and age, businesses should be utilizing video content in order to advertise and promote their companies. Yet Michelle says she still comes across plenty of businesses who are avoiding video, despite the fact that digital video is the number one return on investment for any business. She gives three of the most common excuses that businesses give to avoid using video:
- They don’t know where to start
- They think it’s more expensive than it is
- They don’t want to be on camera
But SCB makes the video process so much easier for businesses. They will help their clients come up with the creative campaign, and guide them through the process. Michelle says, “If you just let us guide you through this process then at the end you’ll have a great video that you can use to promote your business.”
Similar to when businesses make logos or brochures, they can use videos on a multitude of platforms. Videos can be used for social media pages, Facebook ads, websites, direct email marketing campaigns, educational resources, behind the scene videos and so much more. It doesn’t matter if you’re a local restaurant, in the home service industry, or if you’re a physician with 16 associates, video is the best way for businesses to meet potential customers. Michelle says that along with SCB’s television station they began to transition into independent video production and that it immediately became a whole new product that they could provide for their clients.
Videos also allow you to take your message and deliver it to a variety of audiences at a relatively low cost. Michelle tells ASBN that videos allow people to be able to relate to the person behind the camera. If the audience is able to see and hear the person and the message that they are delivering then it gives businesses the opportunity to create sales and build relationships even before meeting the customer.
