Whether you need a place to work on your motorcycle, grab a coffee, or you just want a cool shared space to hang out at, then you have to check out Brother Moto in the Atlanta neighborhood of Cabbagetown. Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with Brother Moto’s co-founder, Jared Erickson, to discuss the inspiration behind the city’s only DIY Motorcycle Garage and how it’s bringing the community together.
Getting this unique concept off the ground was no easy feat. It took lots of support from the community to raise the necessary funds and make this vision a reality. However, Jared and Bobby were able to use their backgrounds as designers, photographers, and marketers to significantly trim overhead costs. Their branding assets are all done in house as well as their SEO strategies and marketing campaigns.
In addition to the DIY garage and coffee bar, Brother Moto also generates revenue with merch ranging from t-shirts, to mugs, and even vintage Budweiser belt buckles. However, most importantly, Jared and the rest of the crew at Brother Moto want all members of the community to feel welcome. After all, you don’t have to own a motorcycle to love Brother Moto.
