On today’s show, we’re pleased to welcome Amanda Lucey, Owner and CEO of The Partnership, Atlanta’s oldest, privately held marketing, branding, and digital communications agency. The Partnership was first established in 1979 and was acquired by Amanda in 2018. Under her reign, The Partnership is now the fastest-growing, female-owned agency, with clients that include InterContinental Hotels, Crowne Plaza, Ferrari, and Coca-Cola.
Regardless of business size, Amanda conveys the importance for companies to tell their stories and create brand belonging. In order to ensure that businesses connect with consumers on a deep level, The Partnership utilizes these three pillars of brand belonging:
- Clients or partners
- Consumers and community
- Agency
In today’s world, consumers are bombarded with over 10,000 brand messages per day, which makes brand belonging a critical component that all businesses need to focus on. No longer are marketing agencies and PR firms separate entities; businesses need to create deep connections with consumers using a holistic marketing approach.
In order to successfully achieve this and see a strong return on investment for a business’s marketing spend, it is important to have experts in place to keep up with the latest trends and changes in algorithms. Amanda calls this the “Ready, Set, Go” process. So many business owners are ready to just go, but the right goals and processes need to be put in place first. Entrepreneurs are great at telling their own stories but they need guidance to make sure those stories are aligned with their goals.
