Confero, Inc., a customer experience research provider based in Cary, North Carolina, has been named America’s Top Small Business 2024 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its digital platform, CO—. This prestigious recognition follows Confero’s inclusion on the CO—100 list, which highlights the top 100 small businesses in the nation and is presented by T-Mobile for Business. Confero earned this honor due to its remarkable growth, strong client relationships, and innovative services, including mystery shopping, social media monitoring, and customer surveys.

The award was presented during a gala held on October 8 at the U.S. Chamber’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., where Confero’s President and CEO, Elaine Buxton, received a check for $25,000. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s President and CEO, Suzanne Clark, emphasized small businesses’ significant role in driving growth and creating opportunities within communities. “Confero and our 10 Top Honorees demonstrate how people, through business, can serve customers, solve problems, and strengthen society daily,” Clark stated.

Confero’s journey from a modest startup to a successful business serving renowned clients like Coca-Cola North America and AMC Theatres reflects its commitment to customer experience and operational excellence. Founded in 1998, Confero was instrumental in establishing the Mystery Shopping Professionals Association (MSPA), a trade association dedicated to the customer experience and merchandising sectors throughout the Americas. The company’s sustained success can be attributed to its experienced leadership, continuous innovation, and responsible financial management.

In addition to Confero’s accolade, the gala celebrated the CO—100 Top Honorees, which included ten businesses recognized for their outstanding achievements in various categories. These honorees are:

  • Growth Accelerators: 787 Coffee, New York, NY
