Visa and Swift have launched a strategic partnership to facilitate international business-to-business (B2B) payments. This collaboration aims to improve communication across their vast networks, which will help several small businesses that frequently conduct international business. As part of the collaboration, unveiled in Toronto at the annual Sibos conference, Visa will use Swift-developed tools to speed up and improve the certainty of cross-border money transfers. American Express unveiled an improved version of its Business Gold Card. According to a press release, customers can enroll in perks to earn statement credits and membership rewards in specific business spending areas with the redesigned card. The announcement comes as several companies, particularly small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), struggle to obtain financing and use personal credit cards to pay for expenses. The card enables companies to earn four times as many membership rewards points in the top two qualified categories where they spend the most each billing cycle.
