For over a decade, Richard Makerson, CEO and Managing Partner of Atlanta-based BlueFletch, has taken the company from a small tech startup to a full-fledged mobile technology firm whose clients include Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, and Home Depot. His determination and tenacity in the face of the country’s worst economic recession led him to become the 2018 Small Business Person of the Year from the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
Born and raised in Georgia, Richard went to school at Morehouse College in Atlanta to study computer science. Upon graduation, Richard started a trucking company, however, he found himself wanting to get back into the tech space, particularly in mobility solutions. BlueFletch was then born smack dab in the middle of the recession, but that didn’t stop Richard and his team from reaching new heights.
